How do I get to UCR?
Directions to UCR
If you are traveling by air, the closest airport to UCR is Ontario International Airport. Due to the volume of students, family members and guests attending our Orientation program, we are unable to provide transportation. There are several reliable airport shuttle services available.
Local hotels may also provide airport shuttle service for their guests.
From LAX or ONT Airport
For those guests who are flying in from out of town, there are two major airports near Riverside, Los Angeles Airport and Ontario Airport. Below you'll find the approximate travel times to UC Riverside. Please note that these are only estimated times from a major travel/directions website. To ensure proper arrival for orientation check in you will want to factor in more time for traffic and possible construction.
Los Angeles Airport (LAX) to UCR: appox. 1 hour and 15 minutes, 70.70 miles
Ontario Airport (ONT) to UCR: appox. 21 minutes, 19.65 miles
Bear Facts Orientation check-in will take place in the Pentland Hills Residence Halls. Orientation participants should park in Parking Lot 21.
Once you arrive on the campus there will be signs directing you to the appropriate parking locations and Orientation Registration. If you have any questions, there are Kiosks located at the two entrances of the campus to assist you.

If you plan on taking a shuttle or taxi to the campus, make sure to make arrangements prior to your arrival at the airport.

To get to the University, take the 91/ 215 /60 Freeway to University Avenue. From the 60 Freeway (East and West), exit University Avenue and turn left on University Avenue. Follow the turn (veers left) on to Canyon Crest Drive; turn right on Linden Street and follow the signs to Parking Lot 21 at Pentland Hills Residence Hall.
