Highlander Orientation
New Student Orientation
- First-Year Students: There are 12 in-person orientation sessions offered throughout July and August to choose from.**
- Transfer Students: There are 3 in-person orientation sessions offered in August to choose from and 4 virtual half day advising appointments offered the first week of September.
**First-Year & Transfer students will sign up for a separate academic advising and course registration appointment (held virtually)
Highlander Foundations Module
In addition to Highlander Orientation, incoming students are required to complete an online Highlander Foundations module. This two-phase module is designed to introduce you to academic resources at UCR , and is your gateway to academic advising and course registration for your fall courses. To access this, please log into your R’Mail using your Net ID and password to accept the Canvas module invite or by logging in to http://elearn.ucr.edu. If you do not complete this step, it may delay your eligibility to enroll in your courses.
