Session Dates

 

Incoming UCR students participate in a group activity led by Highlander Orientation leaders.

 

Highlander Orientation 2025 Session Dates 

  • Highlander Orientation is a mandatory program that consists of a two-day orientation session.

  • Students are required to stay on campus overnight in our campus residential halls during our two-day in person on-campus sessions.

  • There is no waitlist option for both our student and family programs.

  • Students must have a reliable internet connection for the virtual orientation sessions. 

  • Attending the mandatory Highlander Orientation program is a provision of enrollment.  

  • An optional two-day Family Orientation program will take place during each of the in-person Orientation sessions (dates listed below).

  • The one-day in-person Spanish Language Family Orientation program will take place on Friday, July 25, 2025.


First-Year Two-Day Orientation Session Dates:

Sessions will take place from July-August 2025.

Students must sign up for a session in their admitted college. (ex. BCOE, CHASS etc.)

Session 1: July 7-8, 2025 (ALL Colleges)

Session 2: July 10, 2025 - VIRTUAL ONLY (ALL Colleges)

Session 3: July 11, 2025 - VIRTUAL ONLY (ALL Colleges)

Session 4: July 14-15, 2025 (CNAS, BCOE, Business)

Session 5: July 17-18, 2025 (CHASS, SOE, SPP)

Session 6: July 21-22, 2025 (CNAS, BCOE, Business)

Session 7: July 24-25, 2025 (CHASS, CNAS, BCOE, Business, SOE)

  • July 25, 2025 - Spanish Language Family Program

Session 8: July 28-29, 2025 (CNAS, BCOE, Business)

Session 9: July 31-August 1, 2025 (CHASS, SOE)

Session 10: August 4-5, 2025 (CNAS, BCOE, Business)

Session 11: August 7-8, 2025 (CHASS, SOE)

Session 12: August 11-12, 2025 (CHASS, SOE, SPP)

Session 13: August 14-15, 2025 (ALL Colleges)

Session 14: August 21, 2025 - VIRTUAL ONLY (CHASS, CNAS, BCOE, Business, SOE)

Session 15: August 22, 2025 - VIRTUAL ONLY (ALL Colleges)
